Currently to delete objects in the outliner you have to select the objects and use "RMB -> Delete". Or you have to select the objects and move the mouse over to the 3D-View to delete with keys "X" or "DEL".<br />
There is no key to delete the objects in the outliner.<br />

Add "objects.delete" to "Preferences -> Input -> Outliner" for keys "X" and "DEL" in the startup.blend. It's working like expected (and only in "Object Mode").<br />

Sidenote:<br />
I'm not a big fan of the "X" key to delete objects in Object Mode (ok for Edit Mode) since we have no longer a popup on delete. The X is to central and can be hit accidentally. The "DEL"-Key should be enought in Object Mode in every window.</div>wiki>Conz
