新規ページ

==2.45 Status==

All platforms have been built except OSX, which Jean-Luc would do today.

Simon added a check on Windows for the missing msvcr71.dll library (needed for Python) and
advising the user to download from python.org. There was some concern expressed over asking
users to download a separate package and Andrea asked why we can't package the library if
Python (and Inkscape) can. Martin said he recalled that it was OK to distribute the library
if your package built with it, but not redistribute if you just use it. Campbell asked about
statically linking the library, but that also apparently is not easy. Martin asked Andrea to check into the licensing.

Diego will finish the release log tonight so release announcement can be made Monday.

==Current Projects==

Janne is working on code review of particles still.

Daniel Genrich and Jens Ole Wund have discussed cloth some more; Daniel is still trying to get a branch created. Tom Musgrove said he recalled Jens saying the code looked good, had some suggestions about what was needed to "finish" it, and thought it was ready to have a branch. Martin said he would create a branch. Ton said Jens had contacted him about spending two days on physics before the conference.

Ton and Matt argued about "this shift T thingamajig" and whether a new drawmode should be created instead. After a long discussion including Campbell, Ton said to wait until the Peach team was together to discuss more. He said it would not be a simple change to do this cleanly, since derived mesh would need to be "reshuffled".

Keir Mierle popped in late to say he is still working on camera tracking system but is currently
focusing on his thesis so not really advancing the project from a Blender perspective.

Tom reminded everyone to look through the bug and patch trackers.

Mal Duffin asked what happened to the "integrated console window" patch: http://projects.blender.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=4137&group_id=9&atid=127
Seems that this was almost finished, but changed default Blender behavior so that output could not be sent to a terminal window, which scripters and renderfarm users needed.

==Tuhopuu==

Tom asked about bringing back tuhopuu. Stephen Swaney said it should be a set of experimental branches under one root. Jean-Luc agreed but there was a commit right problem; we don't want any user to be able to commit to main trunk. Ton asked about creating a separate trunk. Discussion ensued about whether one or two trunks was better/feasible. Ton was worried about the project management aspects of a new tuhopuu branch, said he would like to separate that with mailing lists, and group memberships, and trackers, and so on. Tom said the real value of tuhopuu is getting more people playing with patches.
