AutoCompileBlender2 Script for Blender GIT Code

Updated automated Build script for Blender.

This script was written for a Fedora Distro and is confirmed to work with the following versions:

Fedora 20 Linux

This script is a real belt and braces approach it works for me but, you will need to be using a supported Fedora version for this to have a hope of working. It may work on other Fedora versions, but don't count on it. If you can make this script better please do :)

ファイル:AutoCompileBlender2.sh

To try the script, make a directory for it and copy the script into that directory. Then open up a console window and cd into that directory, then type either:

./AutoCompileBlender2.sh

or:

bash ./AutoCompileBlender2.sh

To see a list of options available to the AutoCompileBlender2.sh script start AutoCompileBlender2.sh with the --help option. It will display the other options it can accept, enabling you to enable the different features of the software Blender can use:

AutoCompileBlender2.sh --help

AutoCompileBlender2.sh [OPTIONS]

OPTIONS

--help - This help text.

Once you run the script without the --help option it should then check for all the required rpm packages, and if found it should start to download the source code for Blender and it's dependencies and then compile and link them together, hopefully resulting in a build of Blender from the most recent GIT version of Blender. Which should end up in a directory called "BLENDERBINARIES" in your home directory.

AutoCompileBlender2 Script Memory Use
Compiling Blender using the AutoCompileBlender2.sh script is memory intensive you probably need at least a gigabyte of memory for it to succeed and that is with only the script running.

MediaWikiBuilder Script

MediaWikiBuilder Script will build MySQL, Lighttpd and PHP and configure each of them automatically so that MediaWiki can then be installed and used by the user locally in the their home directory.

Usage

To use this script simply copy it into its own directory and then change into the location of that directory in the terminal window and enter:

bash ./MWB.sh

At which point the compiling and installation process will begin.

Follow the on screen instructions and you will end up with another script being created which you will be able to run and then launch and use MediaWiki.

MediaWikiBuilder Script
Currently this script is still under some development, it works for me but the script may not detect all the rpm package files that need to be installed to allow this script to work. When I do a fresh install of Fedora I will update the script if it needs updating to make sure it checks for all the dependencies it needs (if any).

Dark Naiad MediaWiki Theme

BlenderWiki by default uses the Naiad Theme. While in most respects it's a very good theme, it has one issue that some users may find objectionable, That is the fact that the colors of the theme are extremely bright. This can make reading large volumes of text a stressing experience. So to try and mitigate this problem, while keeping all the other advantages of the original Naiad theme, I took the original Naiad theme and altered it's colors while keeping everything else the same.

If you are interested in using the Dark Naiad Theme or want to have a go at improving it please feel free to. Instructions on how to install and use the Dark Naiad CSS are contained within the naiad.css file, please read the file for more information. The zip file below contains both the naiad.css file and a series of sample screenshots showing what the theme looks like.
