Import/Export of 3D models

ISO Step format

I have a Request For Enhancements: Support for Import and Export of the ISO Step 3D models files. Default extensions are .stp or .p21
The format has lot of documentation, increasing support by many CAD, and is the requested format by government agencies, for example ESA. Many infos can be found on the Wikipedia article:
