I'm thinking that perhaps we need a template for PyNodes recipes, which will ensure that all commits look uniform and perhaps have an optional bitmap to show the result of the PyNode in some way. Any thoughts? --Wahooney 21:41, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Sure. That would be a good idea and would help script authors as well. There could be a separate link on the cookbook main page leading to template(s). It should contain an example .blend containing it too. Furthermore the template should be usable to render example images for the wiki. This is on my TODO.

For starters there could be just one template but as time goes by it might be nice to write a couple for different purposes.

Basically template should contain the name of the script author, license and basic dummy node to build upon. It could also have some very basic instructions included as comments.

On licensing issue I have to make sure it's alright to use anything other than Open Content License in the case of scripts provided at the wiki instead of just linked at or uploaded. I don't think including whole license block is necessary. Just a line like in http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Meta/Licenses#Blender_Artistic_License should be enough.

I clarified the licensing issue (thanks Roger! :) ) and added some information about attribution too. I also added a section for templates and provided a .blend to use. Feel free to enhance it any way you want.
