Google SoC
Audio System Clean-up
Csaba mentioned some new features like bidirectional sample playing and looping, memory buffering (instead of loading the whole sample to memory, it is streamed from the hard drive) and reseeking. Csaba had also managed to unify the sound types (Audio-RAM and Audio HD). Internal wav and aiff loaders were still missing from the branch. Csaba said that he would commit them after finishing up with stuff.
Current Projects
Particle System
Janne had converted particle mode to bake edit mode, enabling the editing of for example, baked softbody data, etc... Next Janne would try to get autobake working and then he would start adding the "new and cool" stuff to edit mode like editing a bad bake and rebaking onwards from corrected time etc.. Janne said that editing baked softbody paths was possible and thought that adding cloth would be easy too.
Cloth Simulation
Daniel said he was working on collision detection and after that he would be working on collision response.
BlendX (GE rewrite)
Samuel said that he was switching from using ODE for physics to Bullet. After that he would add some new features to the currently wip physics system.
Bmesh
Briggs had updated things so that moving to a different implementation concerning lists and arrays wouldn't change the existing API. Briggs said that next he would be implementing more tools.
NDOF
Jean said that the ndof siggraph build was up, and that he was waiting for Ton to add an announcement to blender.org. Blenderbuilds had the builds already and Jean hoped that graphicall would have them soon too.
Blender 2.45 RC2
Michael mentioned that Briggs still had to commit a bit bugfix concerning multires before RC2 and Diego mentioned that there were two bugs related to edge split and rendering artefacts that he had to fix. Also the GE executable export bug was still to be fixed.
