In general, you should follow the official Blender build instructions to build this branch (fluid-mantaflow).

The only thing to watch out for is the flag for C++11 support. To make sure that it gets set, you should explicitly tell CMake about it:

   cd blender-git/build
   cmake ../blender/ -DWITH_CXX11=ON
