- Under the "Add Mesh" category, you'll find "Add Symmetrical Empty", enable.
Instructions
How to use
- Once enabled, there will be a new option under the Add > Mesh menu (Shift+A), "Symmetrical Empty"
- After added, you'll be in Edit Mode, ready to Ctrl+Click anywhere to start adding vertices, this will be mirrored automatically on the X axis (by default, can be changed from the Last Operator panel (at the bottom of Toolshelf, or F6).
Additional Information
About this script: According to many 3D artists that model often, they usually begin by removing all the vertices on the default mesh and adding a Mirror modifier for symmetrical modeling. This simple script adds a mesh type on the menu that creates an object without vertices and a mirror modifier.
