Perhaps the new directory functionality should be similar to Windows new folder (perhaps the same for most OSs) where the new directory is created with a unique name "NewDirectory" , "NewFolder", etc. (perhaps that should stick to whatever the current operating system calls it to alleviate any confusion) Then the filebrowser switches directly to the rename operator for that new directory, which should most likely be some sort of inline text editor box. --Wahooney 06:46, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
