Dev:2.5/Source/Architecture/NetworkEditing

This is only a rough idea, but I figure that since there will be a universal command wrapper for everything that happens inside blender -- anything that is human-computer-interaction related at all, then why not beam these ID numbers and parameters over the internet or a closed network? It seems that with a universal language for input, a sort of "Verse 2.0" could easily be implemented.

Currently Verse within Blender is only capable of edits to a mesh's points.

Wray: I think such specs go beyond our 2.5 project... although some kind of operator registry will definitely come back for plugin and python api's.

I propose to drop verse implementation from blender2.5 now and add it back later. Verse protocol specification and implementation needs revision.

I agree with Jiri. Also the current implementation could use revision, even if the Verse protocol doesn't get revised. I can see many places that can be done better in light of the new event system - less hackish. JesterKing 06:20, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

You can see proposal of new Verse specification at: www.nti.tul.cz/wiki/WikiUser:Jiri.Hnidek/Verse_resend_mechanism.en (WIP)
