Behaviour of Import
It would save time if we did not have to select the object type after choosing "File->import" in the menu. The file menu would show all files whose extension is of importable type (obj, stl, ply, 3ds, etc...). We could still modify the type specific import options in the same pane (on the left of the file list by default, under "Recent"), there would just be a selector (tabs or drop-down) to select the type whose import options you want to modify. Also, one should be able to select multiple files in this import window. This would also save me a lot of time. Arnaudc 07:14, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
Grab, rotate, scale, duplicate and mirror with basepoint
Current Issues
It is very difficult to grab, rotate, scale, duplicate and mirror objects using basepoints.
Proposal
Add a a keybord shortcut which will let user select basepoints during grab, rotate and scale operations allowing precise transformations in easy way.

Interface to permit renaming and mapping of OpenEXR Layers
Current Issues
Because OpenEXR has no determined convention for layer naming, conflicts can arise when importing .exr files into other applications. Typically this is not a significant problem, but it can be a nuisance.
Proposal
A User Preference or export setting to rename OpenEXR files according to user specification would be useful. The setting should be saveable so that they are accessible by default since OpenEXR users tend to have specific pipeline parameters.
