Summary
Reset 3D View is a simple plugin that resets the views of all open 3D view windows back to a default view. This is handy for situations when you have navigated yourself away and want to center the view at the starting point again. It helps with the orientation in the 3D space.
Installation
- Download the script.
- Open the Blender User Preferences and switch to the Addons Tab
- Click the Install from File button
- Activate the new installed Plugin
- Save User Preferences.
Instructions
You can access the plugin by the 3D view menu item View. Or by the hotkey Numpad Asterisk (above the Numpad nine). The plugin resets the 3D view of all open 3D Windows to a standard view.
Additional Information
Note that the behaviour is different for the perspectivic view versus Top, Left, Front, etc. views. In this kind of views it preserves the Top, Left, Front, etc. views. This is intended.
