Set-up : Object Library
- Models which will be duplicated (the buildings) must be linked from an external blend file.
- If a model to be duplicated is made of more than one object, the objects should be grouped together so they can be linked more easily.
Set-up: Map File
- Create a blend file with links to the building objects library(s).
- Put the linked objects into groups based on how they are to be used ("tall buildings," "round buildings," etc...)
- Create a mesh object upon which building objects will be placed. Create and apply materials to the faces of the "map object" as desired.
- In the map object's ScapeGoat properties, each material applied to the map object will have a section in the script's interface panel. Each material can be linked to a group in the map blend file. Other settings for each material are adjusted in the object's interface panel.
