Sequencer Requests Guidelines
Format
Boil down features such that a brief summary is presented with a clickable sub-wiki link.
If you believe the request is clear enough and doesn't need to be explained and/or elaborate with others, just put down the Title, the Summary and your details (leave the Link section empty), like this:
Title | Brief Two To Six Word Title |
Summary | A single sentence that summarizes your feature request. |
Link | - |
Proposer, Data | user, YYYY-MM-DD |
Or, if the request is more elaborate, create a Talk page in Request/Sequencer, then report the link of that page in the Link section as a standard Wiki Link.
If you need to answer to a request that hasn't a page yet, create the Talk page, and report its link in the table.
To insert contents useful to explain things, use or create the relative page instead of the Talk page itself, and report its link in the table.
Title | Brief Two To Six Word Title |
Summary | A single sentence that summarizes your feature request. |
Link | Details, Discussion |
Proposer, Data | user, YYYY-MM-DD |
Using this format would facilitate scanning as well as making further explanations / discussions easier as they would reside in a separate wiki link on their relevant 'Discussion' page.
Features from other programs
We're gradually moving the single features in their area of interest, so search for an existing feature request and add what you like from a certain editor there. Or add a new request and specify this is a feature from another editor.
The format should be as below:
Editor XYZ
I like this feature a lot and I would like to see it in the Blender sequencer user
How to create wiki pages
Talk pages

Normal pages
Similarly, to create a normal page go to http://wiki.blender.org/index.php?title=Requests/Sequencer/My-Request (even if it doesn't exist), add contents and save the page.
