Vertex Groups

The Vertex Groups panel of Particles context allows you to specify vertex groups to use for several child particle settings. You can also negate the effect of each vertex group with the check boxes. You can affect the following attributes:

Controling with Vertex Group the Density of Hair particle system.

Density

Vertex group to control particles density.

Controling with Vertex Group the Length of Hair particle system.

Length

Vertex group to control particles length.

Controling with Vertex Group the Clump of Boids particle system.

Clump

Vertex group to control particles clump.

Controling with Vertex Group the Kink of Hair particle system.

Kink

Vertex group to control particles kink.

Controling with Vertex Group the Roughness of Hair particle system.

Roughness 1, Roughness 2

Vertex group to control particles roughness.

Roughness End

Vertex group to control particles roughness endpoints.

Negate

Negates the effect of the respectively atribute vertex group.
