BlenderWiki talk:Copyrights
Recently, it was discovered that BlenderWiki:Copyrights, the page used to specify the overall license of wiki content (and linked to in the edit page), was blank. Because of this, the only possible "licensing" requirements on the wiki would be the edit page disclaimer. As we all know, that disclaimer says that you agree to let your work be edited mercilessly. It does not allow, say, printing of the content, or cross-posting to another wiki. And it's questionable if it could even said to be binding.

As always, a can of worms. But I like it. I think it is reasonable. However, everyone must understand that any violation must be detected and then the copyright holder has to have the money to file an international lawsuit to reclaim any damages, all of which has to be proven in a court of law. Then, the monetary judgement has to be collected. A long road to be sure, and in theory, I like to think that I stand respectfully on the shoulders of giants, and hope they don't mind my weight. --Roger/PapaSmurf 16:17, 30 August 2013 (CEST)
Replacing page with something which is a better descriptor
This page is just a page of the OPL, but perhaps something layed out more specifically like Wikipedia's copyright notice (not as comprehensive perhaps) and briefly mentioning Creative Commons also is, perhaps, a good idea. To see Wikipedia's Copyright article click here
