Another update…

Now, we have first Rigging, then Constraints, and finally Animation.

I started to really work on the rigging section – as they are currently in talk pages, the new versions of pages are available through the small arrow next to the page link in the indices below.

I don’t mention it in detailed descriptions, but of course I’ll try to add small demo examples as often as possible, regrouped per pages in a single blend file.

As usual, all suggestions/ideas are welcome. Note however that this is a 2.49 doc – I know things (more modes in Ipo/Graph and Action/DopeSheet editors…) changed a bit in 2.50, but here we try to have a “definitive” good 2.49 version upon which to build the 2.50 one…

Note for Roger: As I changed a bit the presentation, I moved your comments in relevant sub-pages (while answering to them ;) ).

Good, extensive work Mont29! My only note is that the "Script" constraint is deprecated in 2.5, whome's docs are modeled after 2.49 structs.

The Rigging Section

Here we find all about armatures in rigging and skinning. Animating armatures goes in animation chapter!

Each page struct is further detailed here, and reviewed here by mindrones and Roger.

The Constraint Section

Here I propose to follow the three-types categorization as in Blender 2.5.

Each page struct is further detailed here.

Should there be a modifier section? like the wave modifier, is a form of animation...--Roger/PapaSmurf 23:43, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
I think the Modifier chapter is quite good. I’ll just mention their animation possibilities in “Indirect Animation” page of Animation chapter… --Mont29 11:48, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Should there be a FAQ section?
About FAQ, I think mindrones is working on it currently (I mean, for the whole manual)… --Mont29 11:48, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

The Animation Section

New section

Each page struct is further detailed here.

Current section

Armatures and Character Animation

Introduction
Armatures
Armature Objects
Editing Armatures
Posing Armatures
Inverse Kinematics
Mesh Skin Weighting
Mesh Skin Weighting
Animation Editors
The Action Editor
Non Linear Animation

The Advanced Animation Section

Well, in fact, I propose to delete this section! It’s very small (three pages, one being a tutorial rather than a manual page, we should move it under Doc:Tutorial!), and the (python) Ipo drivers are just an advanced feature of the Ipo Editor…
